1964
Avery Automotive was founded by two brothers Tom and Jerry Phillips in 1964 under the name of Avery County Recapping. In 1996, Jerry’s two sons, Hank and John Phillips took over the family business and continued to provide the local community the same great service and support that their father had given. Avery has served the local community by supporting and donating to the local high school and their sports programs as Hank and John Phillips were both football players in high school and went on to play football for Clemson. We serve as a beacon to the local community and provided support to our various town and county departments such as EMS, the Fire department, Police and Sheriff departments, schools and colleges, and YMCA. After 60 years of excellent service, Avery continues to provide excellent service.
I've had the pleasure of being an employee at Avery Automotive for over 13 wonderful years. Getting to know our customers personally, and considering them friends, has been the highlight of my journey. I've been lucky enough to attend on-site training, conferences, and workshops which have enhanced my knowledge of tires and leadership and enabling me to better serve our customers. I'm incredibly grateful to Hank and John Phillips for giving me the opportunity and skills to contribute to making Avery Automotive the excellent business it is today. I am looking forward to continuing this journey with all of you!
